George has extensive knowledge and expertise in the rail industry having worked for almost 30 years. George was the Network Rail Construction Manager for the South Wales Platform extensions, Heathrow Terminal 5 rail link, as well as Senior Health and Safety advisor on Great Western Electrification. George is a highly successful trainer and assessor and has earned exceptional respect from his students. The feedback received from his classes is overwhelming as he has a no holds barred approach to passing on his vast knowledge and expertise to the next generation. His experience and knowledge are second to none; this mixed with his unique delivery style is one half of why GNR Training are the preferred training provider for many.


George is happily married to Rachael and enjoys spending time with their three children. George is very creative and can often be found busy in his workshop.


Rachael is an accomplished leader, having had many managerial roles throughout her career. Rachael trained in Dental Nursing at Leeds Dental Institute and was part of the team for discussing the need for registration of all dental professionals that remains today. Rachael is proud to have served in the Royal Air Force, where she was a highly respected Practice Manager and was named the “Queen of Cross Infection Control”. Rachael has a First-Class Honours Degree and has had a successful career as a Social Worker, working in front line child protection alongside the Police and other professionals to safeguard and protect children and families, so has full in-depth knowledge of child welfare and development as well as Safeguarding processes and procedures. Rachael is an expert in Specialist Child Abuse Investigations. Rachael is happily married to George and is mum to Alex, Elliot and Ella and can often be found on a spin bike in her gym.


Chris Palmer is the Director of Operations for Alex Elliot Consultancy. Chris has a formidable background in recruitment and consultancy, bringing innovative and exciting life to the company. Chris comes from an Education Recruitment background where he has supported schools and job seekers in Doncaster, Barnsley and The Dearne Valley. Prior to this, Chris worked in the Health and Well-being sector where he promoted healthy living in schools, care homes and residential care centres as well as emphasising the benefits of exercise in later life. It was here that Chris developed a passion for helping others, working closely not only with clients but with students on an apprenticeship basis taking their first steps into the working world.


Chris prides himself in his ability to provide impeccable customer service and will actively go out of his way to help others. This combined with his ability to create strong, long-lasting relationships has meant that Chris has been highly successful in the recruitment industry.


Chris is a former Rugby league player having played for Sheffield Eagles RLFC for several years. It was here where Chris was presented with the opportunity to join Sheffield Hallam University obtaining a degree in Sport Event Management.  Chris has recently purchased his first home with his partner Beth and Pippa the cockapoo. Chris still actively plays rugby and enjoys nothing more than representing his local amateur side as team captain on a weekend.


Richard spent several years in the Travel, Tourism and Distribution Industry where he occupied numerous roles including Management and in numerous retail outlets. Prior to this, Richard spent time working overseas in tourist destinations as a Customer Experience Ambassador. Richard is also a keen musician and is a fully qualified music teacher who loves empowering the minds of others. During Richard's time in Travel he co-led a team of experts and nurtured them to be the best they could be in terms of performance, attrition and delivering the best possible customer experience. Richard led staff CPD in order to upskill individuals on bespoke data-management systems and executed deliverables. This combined with an outgoing and confident approach to customer relations will aid the transition into Alex Elliot Consultancy.


Richard is engaged to be married to his partner Tommie in November 2022 and has a lovely little dog called Scooby. Richard also has a keen interest in all thing’s aviation-related and can often be found looking sky-ward.
